IMC - TAGUNG des XXXIII EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
vom 14. 9. 2007 - 17. 9. 2007 in GENT, Belgien
Bei dieser wichtigen Tagung besprachen die Delegierten der Mitgliedsverbände aus den Ländern A, B, Cro, D,F, I, NL und UK die künftige Entwicklung im Verband. Dabei wurde der kroatische Verband HRVATSKA POMORSKA STRAZA ( HPS- kroatische Marinewache) endgültig in IMC aufgenommen.
Dies wurde auch als großer Erfolg für den ÖMV gewertet, da die Kontaktaufnahme zu HPS 2003 vom ÖMV erfolgte und die Vorbereitungsarbeiten ausschließlich beim ÖMV lag. Der HPS ist auch Partner des ÖMV und Präsident Oberst Prof. Karl Skrivanek ist Ehrenmitglied des HPS, der großen Anteil an der Entwicklung dieser Partnerschaft hat.
Vom ÖMV nahmen am Council die Delegierten zur IMC Präsident Oberst Prof DI Karl Skrivanek, Bgdr Gerhard Buchberger- Eliatschek , Kurt Schlossstein und Franz Holm sowie als Gast Obstlt Dr Herwig Brun teil.
Am Abschlusstag der erfolgreichen Tagung lud der belgische Verband zu einer Ausfahrt von Gent nach Zeebrügge auf dem Minenjäger CMT M923 NARCIS der belgischen Marine ein.
Das Programm der Tagung war sehr anspruchsvoll, doch berücksichtigte es auch die kameradschaftliche Note des wichtigen Treffens, wie dies aus der folgenden Zusammenstellung und der beigefügten Bildergalerie unschwer zu entnehmen ist.

FRIDAY 14 September

SATURDAY 15 September

| 0930hr: | executive council meeting at territorial command of the province Oost-Vlaanderen (Coupure). Special program for ladies) |
| 1200hr: | lunch at Coupure (all). |
| 1400hr: | visit of the town of Gent. |
| 1930hr: | galadinner at the International Club of Flanders at St Pieter abbey. |
SUNDAY 16 September
| from 0700hr: | buffet breakfast. |
| 0930hr: | departure from hotel to Recolettelei. |
| 1000hr: | Benelux-boattrip to Sint-Martens-Latem. |
| 1200hr: | lunch in the surroundings of the Leie-river. |
| 1400hr: | bustour: Deurle, Sint-Martens-Latem (flemisch painters villages). |
| 1700hr: | return to hotel. |
| Evening: | Free Time for delegates. |
MONDAY 17 September
| IMC delegates depart. |
| Special Arrangement: boat trip on Military ship „Narcise" to Zeebrügge. |

Dear friend, Col. Skrivanek, As we have both proudly expirienced in Gent, Belgium, our „battle“ for the attendance of Croatian Maritime Guard / Hrvatska pomorska straža to the full membership in IMC is finaly finished. HPS and ÖMV, espetialy You Karl and myself, we have won ! Despite some unreasonable resistance of some other associatiations HPS is now full accepted in the honourable company of maritime organisations. I wish to express my personal thanks, as well as the same from all other members of HPS to You and other austrian friends. Your intence to bring us, as a partner of ÖMV, in IMC during about five long years means a lot to all of us. I must say – it is normal what You have done, while You are also the member of HPS, an honourable one, and one of our very best friends. I would like also to inform You that in the next days I expect to meet croatian President Mr. Mesic, and to inform him about everything what happend in Portsmouth 2006 and Gent 2007, also Your positive role in everything. The same I will do on the meeting with the Croatian Navy Commander, Admiral Urlic. Dear Karl, we have a real friend in Yourself, also You have a lot of friends in HPS.
